TIGER CENSUS BEGINS IN BANKE Kathmandu, 29 April: April 29: Counting of tigers started from today at the Banke National Park here. The national park was established three years back, RSS reports from Banke.. The tiger census would be undertaken for 55 days in three stages comprising census in the park area proper, the buffer zone area and the surrounding forests. Birendra Kandel, the assistant conservation officer at the Park, said that 80 cameras with special technology have been used for the census. A technical team comprising 32 persons including specialists has been mobilized for this purpose. Nnnn TWO KILLED IN PANCHTHAR JEEP ACCIDENT. Kathmandu, 29 April: Two persons were killed in Panchthar when a jeep proceeding to Dashami from Jhapa fell 100metres down a road at Balen in Panchthar. Seven ijured passengers are undergoing treatment at Damak-based Amda Hospital. Two persons died in road accidents in Mahottari district last night. One person died in a tractor accident at Halkhori-5 while another died when he fell off a tractor at Sahodawa VDC. One person died and 14 others were injured when a jeep met at Ghughur-kot VDC in Achham Sunday afternoon. nnnn
