NEPAL OFFERS 5,000 BLANKTS TO JAPAN

Kathmandu, 27 March: Nepal has offered 5,000 blankets to Japan to assist
Victims of an earthquake, tsunami and a series of nuclear accidents following the wo natural disasters, Japanese foreign ministry said.
The blankets were purchased in the open market in South Korea,
Nepal has offered to send a 15-member rescue squad of personnel from
three state security agencies to assist.
But the team had to return from Tribhuvan International Airport following lack of coordination with the Japanese embassy in the capital and government in Nepal.
Japan is Nepal’s largest aid donor.
Government decided to sent the rescue team as a token help.
