Maoists recall US-bound squad

Kathmandu, 25 June: Maoists Friday recalled a four-member squad that flew for the USA Thursday to participate in a seminar on Nepal sponsored by the Statement Department, Spokesman Dina Nath Sharma said.
The team consisting of top leaders, including woman leader and former minister Pampha Bhusal, were among 23 leaders from other parties, including ruling NC and UML/
The team departed with party approval.
The main opposition justified the recall on ground another top leader Agni Kharel was denied a visa for entry into USA which still puts Maoists on its terrorist list.
Bhusal who was denied a visa earlier was given the document this time.
