All Tara Air passengers, crew safe

Kathmandu, 26 May: All passengers and crew of Tara Air were safe after a Tara Air Twin Otter made an safe emergency landing at Birendranagar airport in Surkhet Wednesday.
Th aircraft made an emergency landing five minutes after take off for Palpa when the door opened for unknown reasons during the flight.

Three party meet with premier

Kathmandu, 26 May: A summit of three main parties was adjourned until five in the afternoon without any progress Wednesday, Maoist Vice-chairman Narayan Kazi Shrestha said.
Prime Minister Madhav, whose resignation has been demanded by Maoists, as a pre-condition to extend the CA tenure after 28 May attended the meet.
The morning session was adjourned after the premier sought time for discussion with leaders of NC and UML, Shrestha said.
The transition from a monarchy to a republic has been long and difficult and hasn’t been completed even in four years for various reasons.
Integration of Maoist combatants to be completed in six years hasn’t even taken off while a constitution had to be drafted by Friday.
Indicating the level of foreign interference in Nepal after a republic, Norwegian International Development Erik Solheim was the last foreign minister to come and advise party and government leaders to end a prolonged deadlock.
Norway is an inconsequential player in iternational politics.
Even the UN has established a foothold in Nepal to handle political matters.
It was invited by parties to manage Nepal’s internal affairs. Foreign presence is real in a country that was never colonized.
Girija Prasad Koirala, Chairman Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal led governments during the transition.
The vague and ambitious 12-point peace agreement between seven parties and Maoists was signed in New Delhi after India presented the draft written by pencil of a piece of paper, according to Congress leader Chakra Prasad Bastola.
Girija was the Nepali architect and leader of the transition team; he gfailed miserably.
Nepal has witnessed two transition periods in two decades.
The transition from partyless panchayat and absolute monarchy was successfully completed with the wise leadership of Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, who was prime minister, Ganesh Man Singh and King Birendra.
The transition was completely ‘Nepali-owned and managed’.
NC dominated the first transition’ the second transition was managed by Maoists, NC and UML.
