Limbuwan region closed down

Kathmandu, 10 June” Maoists closed down the Limbuwan hill region Wednesday demanding correction of a presidential decision to retain sacked Army Chief Gen Rukmangud Katawal.
Maoists have announced protests until 14 June.
CPN-UML and Maoists Tuesday discussed ways to end a political stalemate created by the Maoist demand.
Chief whips of the two parties Wednesday discussed ways to run the smooth running of parliament.
A Maoist secretariat meeting demanded Wednesday all decisions of the ousted Prachanda government be implemented to run parliament smoothly.

One prisoner killed in Rasuwa jailbreak

Kathmandu, 10 June: Police shot dead one prisoner and another was injured during a jailbreak in Rasuwa Wednesday.
One prisoner has gone missing.

MJF central committee holds discussions

Kathmandu, 10 June: MJF central committee began discussions in Birgunj Wednesday to discuss a split in the party.
A faction led by Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar Tuesday registered a new party splitting terai’s biggest political party.
The party is discussing ways of tackling the split.
Party headquarters is located in Birgunj.
